Ripping CDS Using iTunes

For this tutorial, we will be using iTunes to rip cds, MP3 files, and other formats. iTunes is free and is compatible with Windows and Macintosh. But I still prefer Easy CD-DA Extractor to do all those stuff simply because it's powerful and is able to convert alot of other file types. However it's not free and it works for Windows only. If you are going to use Easy CD-DA Extractor to encode, please take a look at the tutorial Easy CD-DA Extractor. If you don't want to use it, use iTunes instead.

This is a 5 page tutorial. Most of the steps are the same with repetitive steps. Please read through each steps carefully. If you don't understand something, please leave comments and questions in this tutorial.

With that said, we are going to start of configuring iTunes with the correct settings we need to encode.

Ripping CDs Using Easy CD-DA Extractor

For this tutorial, we will be using Easy CD-DA Extractor to rip cds, MP3 files, and other formats. Easy CD-DA Extractor is not free but it is a very powerful program and encodes music at very high quality with plenty of tweaks for you to choose. It's a 30 day trial program and only runs under Windows. After the trial is over, you can either pay or jump to another program. I recommend you buy the program since it's really useful (or find the illegal way to do it). If not, you can stick with iTunes and do it from there. Follow this tutorial if you are using iTunes.
