currently, I'm starting to have doubts about it. For me, despite the several leftover questions, DTB ended well. I'd have to hate if they did something like they did for Shakugan no Shana and ruined it with a crappy second season.

I didn't love DTB, but it was okay. I didn't find it confusing at all.

Am I wrong in the understanding that the DtB OVA is what online streamers call episode 26?
If not, there are several places where you can find it online (Anilinkz being one example)

You're right, episode 26 is the OVA. I liked this episode more than most in the series. It's really funny.

I don't know how anyone, picky or not, could decide whether or not to watch a series based on one episode. It's pointless to do with DTB anyway because most episodes are two parters.
