Lufia 2 "port" for the DS!

I heard news the other day that there's going to be a remake of Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals for the DS in the future =D
Its not really a remake they say though... Its more like they're taking elements of the plot and the characters and making a new game it seems =___=
The characters look very different xD
Did anyone else play this game on the SNES?
It was one of my favorite rpgs ever =3
I was especially a fan of the music xD
