Default 3 hour downtime explanation.
There was a 3 hour downtime earlier today which started at around 6AM. Our ISP was having problems for some reason and there were downtimes for other websites and servers that were hosted by them. I thought our server died when I was trying to connect to AOST. WHEW! I don't want another weeks of posts lost haha. Anyway let's how there are no more downtime from our ISP. I've decided to post some kind of explanation whenever a downtime happens.

To Do Lists: Upgrade forum to 4.0, multi-file uploading, OSTs have it's own commenting system, ditch Joomla in favor of VB's CMS, and more stuff to do...

So is there an actual explanation for the hosters to just go poof for hours?
Maybe some kind of maintenance?

Ah, ok, I thought the site was down again for updates or something.

Like DJ said, at least none of the site's data were lost, that's the good news. Probably freaked out DJ more than anyone else, to think that the server died, why a nightmare.

Oh thank god! It was so scary, one moment I was happily posting away and then I got an error D: Funny if you realise that at that same moment some workers on the other side of the world tripped over some power cables XD
