well the story is rather common, but what makes it one of my collection is the main's characteristic..just watch it...the last part can really make your heart races and trembles like hell...da** this tear-jerking anime but i can't dislike it...heehee

Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu? (original run 25 August 2003 – 18 November 2003)

genre: comedy, school life, romance

this is one of my favourite anime, because this anime has different tone than FMP/FMP second raid that has some serious battle, fight, and dialogue. It has much funny scene than other FMP

the story revolve around sergeant sagara that must protect chidori. But almost everything what he do cause many trouble to chidori and her friend because he will use special force tactics for almost every situation

+ Funny, sometimes parody of other manga/anime (I love it)
- It only contain 12 episode
It's an old anime that taken from light novel. Maybe it just used for a filler, but i think it will be better if it contains more episode

Title: Sword of the Stranger (movie)

Personal note/opinion: One of the all time best anime movies I've seen. The art and characters designs are beautiful, the action is smooth and flawless, and the voice acting (original; haven't had a chance to see the english version yet) couldn't be better.
Watching the film, I totally fell in love with Kotaro and Nanashi (and the pup too) and had the hardest time fighting back the tears at the end ;A;

I totally recommend this movie to all fans of anime~

Plot Summary: Ryo, Gawl and Koji are 3 young boys who travel back into the past with only 1 objective: change history. In their time they discover that their country, Kubere, uses genetically enhanced persons called generators as a military tool. These generators are the cause for the Third War wich kills most of the human population. Now Koji, Ryo and Gawl are there to change all the events.

Personal note/opinion: Some of you may think its crazy to recommend an anime such as Generator Gawl after something like Sword of the Stranger, but personally I felt that the series was a great, fun watch.

Generator Gawl is the classic old school anime and will really bring back fond memories of the anime in the 90s (or at least it did for me). Not having seen the series before a couple months ago, it really gave me that hidden treasure feel and, to my suprise, made me long for the series great sense of humor and quirks that are lacking in the anime series of today.

I second Nana!

Title: Nana (obviously)
Genre: Drama, slice of life, music, romance

Synopsis: Nana Komatsu is a 20-year-old woman who constantly falls in love at first sight and is generally undependable and selfish, but when her boyfriend gets into art school in Tokyo, she leaves her hometown to be with him. On the train to Tokyo, she sits next to a woman whom she finds out is the same age as her, is going to be moving into Tokyo as well (to start a band as the audience finds out a little later), and surprisingly is named Nana Osaki. Through a bizarre coincidence, the two Nanas end up living with each other and become close friends despite their completely different personalities, but the more their lives intertwine, the more trouble and strife they experience.

+Great character development and interactions
+Amazing music by Anna Tsuchiya (who plays Nana Osaki's singing voice) and Olivia Lufkin (as the character Reira's singing voice. Speaking voice by Aya Hirano)
+Very tragic and heartwrenching scenes throughout the series
-Story starts off slow, but only because it switches between the origins of the two Nanas at first

I don't watch a lot of romance anime, so I can't really compare it to others. There's a lot of romantic struggles in it though (cheating, breaking up, marriage, etc) along with business and financial struggles for both protagonists.
